I'll take your homemade pops--*I* love them!

My kids haven't succumbed to the marketing stuff yet, but I know T. will once she hits kindergarten next year.

Hi Jessica! That happend to me last year when Moira was only 2 1/2! When she was about 18 months to 2 year, I make home made popsicles with yogurt, mashed up bananas and berries. I took them to playgroup and all the other kids looked at them like they were the weirdest things ever, and Moira was the only one eating them. Then the next year, after she discovered the kind of popsicles that come in wrappers (I bought some when she was sick and needed something quick) she wouldn't eat mine anymore, so I stopped making them. Just last week, we went to stay with my parents and my mom had made some homemade ones up for her and she ate them! I guess we needed a year break and they are now cool again. Just wanted to let you know I feel your pain!

Meg, this totally gives me hope...and it brings up a good point--sometimes a new venue will encourage kids to try something new.
