This is a simple recipe that is simply delicious. I was doubtful the first time I heard about this recipe that it would actually work, but work it does and let me tell you, it is a real treat...both to taste, and for the fact that you don't really have to do anything to prepare it other than through a few ingredients in a slow cooker. This would be perfect for a casual holiday gathering or maybe even Christmas Eve. Heck, you could also break it out in January to warm up from a cold winter's day. Peppermint Hot Chocolate for a Crowd 12 cups of milk 1 regular size bag of chocolate chips 1 cup of broken candy canes or peppermints Combine, heat and stir in a pan until everything is melted. -OR- Can be done in a slow cooker on low and sit for 4-8 hours. Serve with unbroken candy canes as a stirrer, or marshmallows on top. Serves 8. SPC
