My MIL has a set of cast iron pans that she inherited when she moved into her house. They are probably 40+ years old. They have the smoothest surface, like black glass. And they are completely non-stick, way better than Teflon or any other non-stick pan. They really improve with age. And I mean, like decades of use and they just keep getting better!
