These sweet treats are one of my favorite ways to have dessert without any guilt. Frozen bananas turn creamy, almost ice cream-like, and when you dip them in a bit of chocolate, you have a decadent way to cool off in the summertime.
Ready to try a chocolate covered frozen banana? It is super simple. First, cut the banana into 2 or 3 pieces (or leave it whole!):
Stick a popsicle stick into one end:
Melt chocolate in your microwave, heating either chocolate chips or block chocolate for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between each time. Once the chocolate is melted, dip each banana in the chocolate, using a spoon to coat:
Sprinkle with sunflower seeds, coconut or leave them plain and pop them into the freezer for a couple hours on a piece of waxed paper:
Now you are ready to taste your frozen creation!
