Hope you and yours enjoyed a fun Turkey Day yesterday. We enjoyed a huge dinner along with 27 other extended family members. Whoa, there was a lot of food. But SPH, my dad and I inaugurated the first year of the Family Turkey Trot, we ran 4 miles before breakfast, which felt really good.
Both R, and now G, learned the following song at preschool, which I've caught them singing a few times this week:
(to the tune of "Frere Jacques")
Turkey Dinner, Turkey Dinner,
Pumpkin Pie! Pumpkin Pie!
We ate so much dinner, we ate so much dinner,
Me oh my! Me oh my!
When R learned this song, he replaced the "We" in the third line with a "he" and then asked, "What else does the turkey eat for dinner besides Pumpkin Pie?"
Oh, the poor turkey. Not only did he not get pumpkin pie, but...well, you know.
