Winter chill has hit all across the country and these books are perfect to cuddle up with your kids and stay warm while reading.
Sally's Snow Adventure by Stephen Huneck is an adorable book written from the perspective of Sally a black lab who is on vacation in the mountains at a dog friendly resort. Kids will laugh at his ideas of a bed, and yummy food! Everything is great until Sally get's lost on the mountain but don't fear, the rescue dogs are on the job!
Snow Sounds : An Onomatopoeic Story by David A. Johnson is a wonderful look at all the sounds that come with a huge snowfall. It's not just the quiet hush of snow falling, but the loud sounds of plows crushing and scraping and the morning sounds of a family getting ready to start their day in the snow.
Snowbabay Could Not Sleep by Kara LaReau is a cute twist on something most parents can relate to , the child who will not sleep. Snowbaby asks for all the familiar things from a drink, more blankets ( of snow... he's too hot), and finally Mama and Papa make him a snowdoggie to keep him company. Kids like my son who still sneaks in every night for snuggles in my bed will definitely relate to this winter story.
