Collage PumpkinToday is Columbus day in the US and Thanksgiving in Canada . So I thought I would post a project geared more towards kids that are home from school today and probably declaring they are bored by 10am. This will keep them busy and is a beautiful decoration when it's done. My son helped me with it but the first few steps would be too challenging for most preschoolers. 1. Gather your materials. You will need some construction paper (any color), a marker, scissors, 3-4 magazines, and glue. 2. Draw or have your child draw a pumpkin on the paper. I used purple paper since it doesn't matter what color, as it will be covered. However if you are doing this with a little guy who wants to do it alone, I'd use orange so that any gaps will blend. 3. Start searching through the magazines and cutting out the color orange. If you are doing this with a young child, do this for them or with them. Cut the orange out. 4. Add glue, lots of glue! 5. Add the paper. 6. Add more glue and more paper. Let dry. 7. Cut out.
