Button Up For Fall

Wherever I am I am always looking for craft ideas, new materials and inspiration. When I saw a bag of random buttons at a store I immediately knew I needed to do something autumnal with them. This is what we made.

1. Gather your materials. You will need a brown grocery bag, scissors, a marker, a mix of red, orange , yellow and green buttons, and lots of glue!

2. Start by drawing an outline of a leaf, I swore I had a cookie cutter I used to use as a stencil but I couldn't find it. So I went free hand.

3. Add glue... lots of glue.

4. Start adding your buttons,it's fun to try to fine the right size and color patterns. Take your time.

5. Let dry and cut out.

I love this craft! Even for someone like me who has no artistic ability whatsoever -- this I can handle! Thank you for giving me seasonal ideas that I can actually do with my kids.
