We've just started a new motivation system for KayTar and her toileting. Day one was a huge success after months of zero progress, we're hoping it keeps the momentum.

You just reminded me I forgot to preorder that book for BubTar! I feel terrible! Looks like we're going to the bookstore today. LOL.

What a difference a day can make. So glad to hear L. is having a good week. Hopefully that means a good week for you all, baring grading, etc. Have a fine and safe weekend.

Thanks, John Ross...

As I've posted before, these charts are always so inconsistent with L. But he's been very positive this week about it all, and showing some real initiative--I'm really happy about it!

There's a really funny scene in the new Wimpy Kid book that really got to me re: puberty--I'll write up about it next week.

Have a great weekend!

I love the chart. What age do you recommend starting this.

Hi Amccrea--thanks for reading!

My daughter is 6, and she's using her chart well. We used a basic one with her when she was 5. I think you could even try a very scaled down version for a younger child, but I probably wouldn't try it with a child younger than 4. At 6, my daughter seems to have a real sense of how important responsibility is, and that this is a part of being in a family. I'm not sure she would have gotten all that at 4, or even 5.
