I have to really watch it because I tend to judge people with wealth negatively. I don't know if it's misplaced envy or the perspective you take here. People who flaunt or put on airs just rub me the wrong way.

That park sounds so lovely, I can't wait until spring really arrives here! (We had flurries of snow yesterday.)

I have a really harsh, instant reaction to people who have grown up with money - and it's really not fair of me to do that, because people cannot HELP the circumstances in which they were raised. But I think about a friend of mine who lives on $800 a month, and then I feel that spending that kind of money on a dog is just obscene...

While it may not be fair to judge people who can't help being born into money, I think we CAN judge people who spend $800 on a *dog*.

Hear hear! We spent $75 on our dog when we got her (before kids) and I thought that was outrageous!

I can't remember how much we spent on our dog, but we got her from the animal shelter. I know we had to pay close to $80 for the adoption fee, etc., but we saved a life.

I could get up on a soapbox about the importance of getting dogs/cats from shelters or rescue organizations, but I won't :)

$800 on a DOG? Yikes. I can't fathom that sort of thing either.

Like I said, worlds apart, right?!
