I used video of both the concession and acceptance speeches in my classsroom today as examples of sportsmanship. What great men. I'm just so happy about the outcome, it makes me get all teary. :0)

Yes I agree--they were both perfect examples of good sportsmanship.

I've been giddy all day--the adrenalin is helping get me through the day!

I agree with you wholeheartedly. The responses of both sides are understandable. Taking the time to think about how others around you might feel is admirable and good role modeling.

One thing I think is important to focus on with this election is that, whichever side you voted for, history was made when an African-American was elected president.

You're so right, Mary-lue. I would hope that most people, regardless of how they voted, can acknowledge the historic importance of Tuesday, and feel pride about the results.
