What a FUN idea. I would love to do something like this for Brenna. Her friend had a tea party b-day party and the girls brought their dolls. Very very fun. I'm definitely bookmarking this post for future reference!

It was such a nice event, really! I think I had the most fun getting ready for it!

I don't know that there will be much call for tea parties here, but I'm going to try to come up with an excuse/reason for one just so I can make those recipes!

You know, Mouse, the hardest part about the tea party business was that L., who loves a good formal party, very much wanted to be a part of it all, but he was "turned off" by the manners of the girls in attendance, and by the proximity of all the tea sandwiches (he has real sandwich issues). We promised him another tea party--just the four of us.

Sigh. oh my friend, this is one of those posts, one of those times in which I wish I had a girl!! Sigh again.

But, you know, I think my boys would much enjoy a tea party. Not with friends, obviously :-) (I think girl friends would work, but we don't have any here). I'm sure they'd love making the cakes and cookies. Those sites are AWESOME!

What did you do with all the lime juice/pulp? Some sherbet or something else? I'd hate to waste that. I'd probably make a batch of my "no bake cheesecake" that takes tons of lime juice. I think I'd love those watermelons too, specially if they were soury & tangy. :-)

Oh, and my sweet obsession lately has been macaroons. I'm very afraid to make them, though, they seem to be way too complicated...

As I told Mouse, L. really enjoyed the idea of a tea party--we'll definitely do one--just the four of us.

I froze the lime juice/pulp and then made icy granitas/popsicles by adding in some sugar (lime juice is TART!)--delicious!
