I love recipes that say, "Throw everything into the pot and let cook." It's part of why I've been doing more with the crockpot. I will have to try this soup (or some variation--I've been more sensitive to soy lately, so have to use only small amounts).

Hot and Sour Soup is one of my favorite foods and Chinese restaurants. I always pick out the scary pieces of pork so am glad for the vegetarian recipe. But also pick out the tofu, which I've always wanted to like, but have never successfully bonded with.
I'll have to try this, you know I've totally enjoyed making your other recipes here!

You know, Omaha--you could probably make it without the tofu and be just fine. It's the broth that's really yummy, IMO.

Oh yes, Mouse--I'm all for one-pot cooking on a busy night!

Thanks for the recipe! I will try this as soon as I get some mushrooms. Funny. I have all the other ingredients but not the mushrooms!

I never have fresh mushrooms on hand--they have such a short shelf life.
