Their ache will be for days spent by the pool and the delicious seasonal fare that you serve. You are exactly right, you are building their own beautiful experiences.

Summers spent with mom, full-time, are what I want my kids to remember. I always want to take some type of trip, even a quick one to the Black Hills (this year's trip), to be a summer tradition. I have high hopes of keeping my kids busy and engaged this summer, but there will also be plenty of lazy days. Days spent together, not doing much of anything.

Greece is on my list. My bucket list, I guess. I've always wanted to go there.

I have a theory that teachers just feel so much more is at stake as far as summers go--we're programmed to cherish those few weeks off in ways I think others aren't. I think your summer sounds perfect--and that trip sounds so interesting!

Ah yes, dreams of Greece--everyone should get the chance to visit there!
