That's why I LOVE scrapbooking! I'm about a year and a half behing on each child's books and I so enjoy going through pictures and putting them in the book to preserve each sweet moment in time. It's like therapy for me. Life is good and it frames it all in that light.
My B lost her first tooth this morning - finally! She had her last day of 1st grade on the 2nd and she finally lost her first tooth! I think more will come quite quickly, she's got permanent teeth sprouting in behind them.

Thank you for reminding me of the importance of keeping memories tangible, as much as we can. I have neglected my 18-month-old's baby book for months and months, and while there are so many precious moments with her that I'm sure are burned into my mind and heart forever, the powers of sleep deprivation as a mind-eraser must never be underestimated. I'm going to pull it out tonight!

I wish I had the self-motivation to keep up with scrap booking, Omaha! I tend to rely on "memory boxes".

I think no matter how we save those memories, it's so critical. Children remember only a handful of things, and I do think it's art of our job as a parent to help keep those memories for our own children.
