I like the cranky rule, Mary--MY crankiness always prevails, but I think this is because I'm very obvious about it...!

Thanks for sharing these rules--they were great...

We are in such a strange place right now, with our very messy, curious, often destructive two-year old boy. It's things like "No standing on the kitchen table". And no jumping on the stairs. And no dumping of the milk.
For B, it's more about shutting the bathroom door, sitting down while eating, being patient with said brother.
Like you said, it's most definitely a work in progress!

I know those types of rules, Omaha (and when you see my post for today you'll recognize a familiar pouring too much milk situation). The one about teaching B. to be patient is a tough one--we work on that with T. with regard to L., and it's hard.

We do have house rules, although I'm thinking that more of them should revolve around STAYING IN ONE'S OWN BED at night. So tired!

We've abandoned all hope of having that one ever be a house rule, beck...that's why it's not on our list!

Hope you get some rest...
