I don't spend a lot, but more than I want to. I buy costumes, because I don't have any desire to make them. Which is odd, because I like other crafts. My sister is great about creating costumes, I didn't get that gene. Last year, B was Tinkerbell (a thrift store costume she had gotten in the summer and asked to wear for Halloween). Then her brother was a tiger from Target and we said he was one of the lost boys. It was cute. This year B is a fairy (again) but this time we decided she's a woodland fairy, because the colors are autumnal. The little man is a cowboy, complete with a "Yee haw!" Both costumes are from children's place. The nice thing is that our little guy has something to play dress up with now that isn't a tutu or princess dress! My husband is pleased with that.

Cute ideas! What I love about Halloween costumes is that you get to wear them year-round for dress-up--if they're good and creative ones, that is.
