I think you're completely right about the difference between falling in love and making a marriage.

When Scooter was a toddler, he liked to make Trillian and me kiss. It definitely gave him the sense that all was right in the world.

What a beautiful post. I love stories of how people met. Yours sounds as random as mine and J's (yup, met in a bar). I had just been through a break up too and have been with him since the night we met. Ahhh.
I like the point you make here - anyone can fall in love. But making it work year after year? That takes something else.
