I freaking hate our fridge. It was an emergency purchase several years ago during The Winter That Everything Broke, and it's JUNK - the shelves have fallen out and cracked and the door won't close and we need to replace it but we can't afford to. *self-pity*

The worst thing to spill in a fridge is sesame oil. Ugh.

We can't afford to replace ours, either--well we could buy one, but it would mean no week at the beach for us and, really, if you have to choose between the beach or a fridge, I would choose the beach.

Yes, sesame oil would be bad! But at least it smells nice. Even though I like pickles, I don't like the smell of them!

Sweet T, what a wise little girl. :-)
I think I would be bargaining for a new fridge. Maybe setting up a savings plan to plan to pay cash for one in x amount of months? You could donate that one to Habitat for Humanity or something. I think my grandparents had that fridge, I remember it well. Especially the freezer, it was always piled so high with stuff. Just piles and piles of frozen foods.

Oh, I see a fridge in our future, it just might not be in our near future! Our ice maker is broken, actually, which isn't a huge deal, but it's definitely a tick mark in the "falling apart" column.
