Legos, lots of Legos. I put a lot of things together according to the directions yesterday. They need to be that way for at least a little bit before Scooter starts with his own designs. Also, one train that he has wanted for months.

The big hit seems to be Abbey's My Little Pony Ponyville Teapot playset. It even has its own disco! Abbey and Liam are both enraptured by it.

This year was a year of me having to let go of a lot of expectations. Being majorly sick for the full week leading up to Christmas put me seriously behind, and I did have my crying jag on Christmas Eve that I never had time to bake my buche de noel that I wanted to replicate from the Williams and Sonoma catalog. But I somehow managed to let it go and it was quite possibly the best Christmas in years!

Merry Christmas, Aliki! Looks like you all had a great one!

Last year was Lego year for L.!

I always have to let go of expectations every year, Amie, so you're not alone. And I've had those crying jags, too. I'm glad it all worked out, and it sounds like that Pony tea set was a hit all around! (T. would have loved that).

My B loves her Grows & Knows Your Name Puppy. We got the "boy" one for our little man, thinking he would be mad if he didn't get one. He didn't want it. Whoops. So she's taking care of two right now and he pets it every once in a while. He loves his train. Though his favorites have to be the addition to his Geo Trax set, which was from us, not Santa. The funny part is, now we are home and they are back to their old routines, playing with what they always play with.
I have plans this week to "tidy" up (donate a few old toys that have seen better days) while they go to daycare for a day. Here's hoping they don't even notice!

I was looking at that puppy for T.'s birthday (January 13th)--it looks pretty adorable!

I think she'd love the puppy. It is pretty darn cute. My B is really into animals and she is just crazy about this dog. It says her name, says the name she gave it, and "interacts" with her. She thinks it's hilarious! Your T would probably love it! We bought (ahem, SANTA got) a wicker pet bed with pink lining at Walgreen's for $10 and it's nice because then the puppy not only has a place to be, but also the accessories. It is educational too, it comes with a little tape measure and she measures length with it. So that's good.

Oh, I *love* the idea of a little wicker bed! I'll have to scout that out!
