Aren't humans just the oddest little critters?

We resent things that are the norm in our current lives, then miss them when changes we hoped for actually happen.

My mom used to tell me "Don't wish your life away." At eleven I thought she was goofy. Of course she was actually on the mark.

I'm still working on that one.

Have a great reunion vacation.

A wise person once told me the very same thing...I like to think I've taken it to heart, but I know it's still a work in progress!

I have so enjoyed your lake pictures, it looks like such a great vacation! And just the right time too, I don't think I'd want to do that trip with babies. But I know that's just me, the unadventurous type. I have tons of friends who camp, travel, etc. with their babies and do just fine. I find it's getting so much better as my kids get older. One more hurdle, our little guy's unpredictable moods, and we will be excellent travelers!

I'm not sure I would have wanted to do that trip when the kids were really small, either. It's hard for kids to swim safely in the lake, and there was no beach where we were--just a big jump off the dock! Fi for older kids, but stressful for parents of younger ones.
