The kids love to go outside for water time, as M calls it. I put on a sprinkler, we put some water in the kiddie pool (which is now to small for them to swim in, but certainly large enough to play in and float toys in) and spread some beach towels on the patio. They love this and will play for nearly an hour in the summer heat. They usually end up cold, even when it's super hot outside. I know it's not "green" to have a sprinkler running in the afternoon, but this is something we do once or twice a week. They love it!

This week, I've been letting them get "bored", which I guess is their me time. It's great to see what silly games they come up with. Since we're moving, they don't have many toys left that aren't packed. They can come up with some crazy stuff with very little to go on!

It's so buggy around here that we really can't do sprinkler time--I wish we could. One of the things I don't like about living in this area is how little we can use the outdoors in the summer--unless we're at the pool or the ocean. But I guess our mild winters make up for it...
