It sounds like a great trip. I've never been to D.C., but hope to get there when our kids are older. I want to take them there just as their studies in school will make it all the more special. We will definitely keep the museum that you mentioned on our list! :0)

There are just so many museums to visit, it's hard to decide which ones to see first! But the American History one is my personal favorite, and the Air & Space L.'s.

You're right, Mouse--it's so easy to navigate around and the metro system is extremely user-friendly, I think.

I'm jealous! How thrilling to be able to witness the inauguration! And you're right, the Holocaust Museum is a must. We haven't taken the kids there yet--I want them to be a little older, and to have a better understanding of history before we go there. It's a memorable experience.
