FamilyEducation BlogsAugust 29, 2008
Thank you and goodnight! This is my last post on FamilyEducation.com. I have mixed feelings about this, but I know, in my heart of hearts, that the time is right to move on to other projects. After all, if you've read most/any of the posts over the course of these many months, you know that one thing remains constant for me: gotta keep living/chasing the dream. And the dream is ever-changing. I've been writing parenting-related content for more than three years, including other blogs and my book. It's been great and I will continue to do so. But, it's time to start new projects and chase new opportunities. After a great deal of internal discussion, I realize that it's time to start working on my next book. I've talked about doing so for a long time - and I've found that when I talk about something long enough...it just becomes time to take the plunge. So, plunge away...I shall! I think I'm going to take a break from the parenting thing (with the exception of some private writing) and dig full-on into my first fictional effort. If I can find my voice in this project I've been kicking around all this time - I think this book might be pretty darn cool! I thank you all for reading and I wish you all the best in your parenting endeavors. Good luck to you all!

Good luck to you.
While I am certainly a fan of living one's dreams, I'm sorry to see you go. I've enjoyed reading your take on the parenting world and feel you've added much to this site. Thanks for all the great posts and for all the fun reads. You'll definately be missed here, but good luck with your new endeavors and dreams!
Many thanks to both of you! Perhaps I'll still lurk around from time to time...
We'll miss you! Good luck with the book. I'll look forward to reading it.
Well, a sincere good luck to you! Chase away, my friend, because you deserve it! Don't forget that the chase is part of the dream, it's not all about the end result. I'll miss reading your blog... :)
I truly appreciate these comments - and frankly, feel a bit Brett Favre-like, as I wonder if I've jumped the gun! ;-) Maybe the NY Jets will have me. (Perhaps I can work something out with the powers that be to write less regularly. Maybe once a week. Mitch?)
I keep thinking I should tell all y'all about K-Man's first couple of days at his new school...out of his red pocket T. The wonders will never cease.
What about me? ! I guess Mitch has been commenting much longer than I have!!! ha!!! I may not have made oodles of comments but it doesn't mean I haven't been here in support of you the entire time. Good luck!! You're a talented/gifted writer and you will go far. I can say I knew you when...Good luck!!!
I said thank you to everyone!
Mitch gets the special shout out, cuz he's the bossman/editor If I'm going to write once a week or even broach such a thing - he's the man!
Oh and MommaT - book will go out tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.
I already have a copy of your book so no worries. Oh wait, you meant the OTHER mommy!
Don't leave us T!!!
