It's finally spring!!
Let's all take a moment to bask in this glorious statement. Especially for those of us who live in colder weather climates, the warmer weather and re-emergence of all things green is certainly a sight for sore eyes after a long, dreary winter.
Spring is also the time when a ton of yummy, healthy, colorful produce is in season. After a winter of eating comfort foods, why not clean up your diet a little and incorporate some fresh fruits and veggies into your meals?
CNN had this great article of all the produce that is in season right now, and the health benefits each has. And besides, fresh off the farm fruits and veggies are delicious. Who needs ice cream when you can bite into a sweet, juicy strawberry? YUM!
On a side note, but still speaking of fresh produce, I'm planting my very first vegetable garden this year! This weekend is the weekend I'm going to get my seeds and seedlings in the ground.
Any tips from you gardening experts?
