Bringing in the New YearTomorrow is New Year’s Eve, and everyone is preparing for the celebration. When I think of New Year's, I think of party hats, streamers and confetti, noisemakers, plenty of champagne, watching the ball drop in Times Square, and that song -- what’s it called? "Auld Lang Syne," that’s it! Robert Burns, a Scottish poet, wrote "Auld Lang Syne" in 1788, and it is the most commonly sung song on New Year’s Eve. But, do you really know the words? Well, this year you will, since we have you covered! Auld Lang Syne Should old acquaintance be forgot, CHORUS: And surely you’ll buy your pint cup! CHORUS We two have run about the slopes, CHORUS We two have paddled in the stream, CHORUS And there’s a hand my trusty friend ! CHORUS Here at FamilyEducation, we want to know how you are bringing in the New Year. Share your traditions or your fun party plans with us and others!
