I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday, and are looking forward to ringing in the New Year with family, friends, or maybe a quiet night at home.
Massachusetts got walloped with our first major snow storm of the season Sunday, and we're currently digging out from almost 18 inches of fresh, white snow.
If you ask me in March, I'll be the first to say winter is my least favorite season. The cold. The snow. Parking bans. The constant digging out only to be buried in again. It can really wear on you after months and months of it.
But, it's not March, and it hasn't...

Boy oh boy, the holidays can wreak havoc on your diet. Cookies, dinners, parties-- all of these can add up to lots of fun, but unwanted expansion on your waistline.
I'm a big believer in moderation. I don't believe in denying yourself, especially around the holiday season. After all, you should be able to kick back, relax with family and friends, and enjoy some seasonal treats, am I right?
With that being said, a little moderation and will-power go a long way. You don't have to eat everything that is put in front of you. We all have our favorite cookies and dishes, but do you...

New data from the American Academy of Pediatrics has found that hospitalizations for children under 12 who suffer from eating disorders has skyrocketed 119 percent since 1999.
119 percent. How unbelieveably sad.
Any eating disorder is tragic, but it breaks my heart to think so much emphasis is put on image and a certain "look" that pre-pubescent girls are now starving themselves to fit the "ideal".
And they aren't even the youngest. Children as young as 3 years old have been known to comment on their weight, often saying something along the lines of "I'm fat...
