My 5-month-old daughter has come down with something. Her nose is gunky, her eyes watery, her little baby cough as heartbreaking as it is cute. It’s devastating. But the worst part? It’s all my fault.
Ok, ok, so it’s only a cold. But when I, as a mother, the person who is supposed to care for and nurture this little defenseless creature, instead spread nasty germs to her that made her sick – well, it just seems downright cruel. I am supposed to protect her, not infect her!

Wow! Not in a million years would I consider myself a fan of horse racing, but Saturday's race had me on the edge of my seat. Not because it was a photo finish (Rachel Alexandra won by 3/4 of a length...not a lot, but definitely not the closest finish the Preakness has ever seen.) I was more intrigued by the story behind the two favorites, Rachel Alexandra and Mine That Bird.
For those of you that pay attention to the horse racing world, you'll know Mine That Bird was the extremely unlikely winner in the Kentucky Derby, going from being in dead last to pulling off a 50-1 victory. Rachel...

Writing a book seems to be on everyone's "To Do" list, but something that most people never do. Sure, talking about writing a book sounds like a great idea. But actually sitting down and committing to it? Thats an entirely different story.
Writing is something that has always come fairly easy to me, and unlike many of my peers, I enjoy doing. And, just like everyone else, writing a best-seller is on my "To Do" list. It's always been a thought that was floating around in my head, but lately I've been thinking very seriously about it. I just have one problem- I have no idea where to start!
