I ran across an interesting article today and am curious to see how all of you feel about it, and what your opinion is on the matter. A woman in Zürich, Switzerland lost her job for surfing around on Facebook, the popular social networking site that everyone is a member of now. This may seem like a cut and dry case, but the kicker is, the woman had called into work sick that day and was at home when accessing the site. Her company had sent her a mystery "friend request" to see if she was using the site while at home. Apparently, the woman had claimed she was unable to work in front of a...

A recent article in the Washington Post highlighted an interesting conflict in schools today. A teenage girl was suspended for 2 weeks for taking her birth control pill during lunch, violating the school's "no pill" policy. I understand the need to curb drug abuse in schools, but in a nation struggling with sky-rocketing teen pregnancy rates, what message does this send? Be responsible for your health, and you'll be punished? Would a teen boy getting caught with condoms face the same punishment? I don't think so. That may not be quite the same, but you get my point. As I was leaning on my cart, dragging my feet down the cookie aisle, I found a childhood favorite; Kudos. I wasn’t surprised when there was an open box on the shelf, so I took a peak and...my heart sunk. I swear these bars were so...

I love living in the city. As a single 20-something-year-old, I don't think there is anywhere I'd rather be than the hustle and bustle of a busy city with lots to do and lots of people. However, there is one constant annoyance that really bugs me. Parking tickets. Or more specifically, the parking ticket guy who stalks my neighborhood several times a day, looking for his next victim. I swear, this guy hides in the trees, tickets in hand, and waits. If a car is in a two hour limit area for a minute too long, an orange ticket appears. Where does he hide? How does he KNOW? It never fails! Well...
