Last-minute Gifts

Ten...nine...eight...

There is a house in our town that has a “Countdown to Christmas” clock in its front yard.  While I don’t frequently drive by this house, anytime in December when I see it, with the seconds tick, tick, ticking off one by one, it makes me feel a bit anxious!  I probably need to stop driving by this house, but I share this to say that it is easy to feel the pressure of the “big day!”

If you’re feeling a bit of pressure, and don’t know what you are going to get that person who has everything, may I suggest making something for their kitchen?  There are loads and loads of ideas for making what I call Gifts from the Kitchen.  Many of these gift ideas use pantry items that you may even have in your kitchen already.

Here are some ideas I’ve done in the past:

Homemade Bread and Butter Pickles

Cranberry Walnut Oatmeal Mix

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Dried Bean Soup Mix

Tomorrow I will share a brand-new, couldn’t-be-easier, new idea for a kitchen gift too!

Life is sweet,
SPC
