Natural Cold Remedies for Kids

It's that time of year again! As the leaves change, we've finally settled into a school year groove, and we gear up for the holidays, there is only one...wait, two...things that can slow my family down: cold and flu season.

According to the National Institutes of Health, kids get an average of 6 to 10 colds per year. Add flu season to the mix, and it can seem like your child is sick more than he isn't. Everyone hates seeing their child under the weather, and with cold medicines more regulated than ever (the American Academy of Pediatrics doesn't recommend giving any to kids under 4), how are you supposed to make your little one feel better when he's all stuffed up?

Luckily, there are some tried and true at-home remedies that can help ease his symptoms. Although the common cold and flu are viruses (meaning they have to run their course and can't be cured with antibiotics) these 7 natural remedies for cold and flu can at least help your child feel a little better, and in turn, help ease your mind a little, too, Mom!
