We discovered that my son's much loved and much used( he's kids rough and tumble) ice pack buddy is not for his sister as he exclaimed loudly " That is NOT for her!" when we grabbed it after she bumped her knee.  So I made a quick trip to the dollar store and now she has one too.

You will need : A kid wash mitt, scissors, a needle and thread and something that can freeze and refreeze. I looked for those ice cubes at my dollar store and they carried them ( nationally) but were out. So I grabbed a small re freezable ice pack I had on hand. Now I want to make this clear this is NOT a toy to be played with - it's to be used under supervision for hurts.

Start by cutting the head off the wash mitt. I cut it bellow the seam so that nothing came apart.

Pop the ice pack in and cut the loop off the top.

Sew it all up!

Put it in the freezer ready to offer comfort for those ouchies that seem to crop up all the time with toddlers and preschoolers.
