i applaud you for giving it a go! i gave up dairy for a a month or so last summer, and i really, really missed it.

i realized recently that lots of people ask "what are you?" meaning what do i eat. it got hard figuring it out--am i a vegetarian? but i eat fish once or twice a month and i love holiday ham! sometimes i order a taco with chicken! but that is only now and then. i never eat ground beef. we never cook meat in the house. but i made a turkey last thanksgiving! what AM i!?!?

my new answer is
"i'm complicated." :-)

I think the key is to settle on a diet that is right for you--if you can go completely meatless, that's wonderful! If you can't, then the most important thing is to be healthy--evenn if it makes you "complicated!"

I hope you don't feel badly about it. I think the care you take with your diet and with that of your family's is admirable, with or without any/all animal products!

Thanks, Omaha! I felt badly about it for a little while, but I'm okay with it.
