We have been trying to get to a place with our B where she has that love of reading. She likes it. She's good at it. But it's never her choice of activity. Jay and I both have always loved reading, we're anticipating that for our own kids. Though sometimes I do think we're a little guilty of nagging. "GO READ YOUR BOOK".

Omaha--I find that my kids come and go with the intensity of their interest in reading. This is perfectly normal, I think. As long as the foundation is there, they will always go back to books. L. didn't read much this summer at all, but I'm pretty sure that once school starts up again he'll dive back into it. T. read a lot, but I definitely see her attention to it as something always changing.
