Any time you say something is quintessentially Greek, I must try it. Did you know that visiting Greece is at the top of my personal bucket list? Always has been and I have no idea what sparked the intense desire to go to Greece, but it's just there. So I will try feta on watermelon, because you said so.

I love sliced tomatoes and feta, with oil and Italian spices. One of my favorite summer salads. Use it to top a bed of greens and you've got a meal. Yummmmmmmm.

Your food posts always have me craving specific things. I love eating fresh, seasonal foods - I think our bodies just crave them in a way that is calendar-driven.

I'm one of those weird people who likes to salt watermelon, so I think the combo taste of salty feta and cold, sweet watermelon just does it for me. At many Greek restaurants, they'll bring you--on the house--a plate of watermelon after you're done. Sometimes they'll even include a small slab of feta cheese, too, and I just remember growing up loving that combination.

I always ate salt on it growing up...not sure why I don't any more. I like it that way too. We also used to always eat sugar on tomatoes. I guess certain flavor combinations work, even if they sound wrong!

I've never tried sugar on tomatoes--that sounds intriguing!
