I'm very curious about blowing out the eggs. Rotten Easter eggs is always an issue with me. How can you display them if they're going to get smelly?! So it would be awesome to learn how to blow them out. Then we could do them further ahead of time and enjoy the beauty.

We're going to dye eggs today, a nice activity for a day off. I just need to get the motivation to go boil them. Not my idea of fun on a day "off". :-)

Blowing eggs is easy--just make a tiny pinprick hole in one end, and a slightly larger one in the other end of an egg. I used a thin nail, and I twisted it around gently like a drill. Here's the gross part: put your lips to the tiny hole and blow out--all the egg goop will our out the larger hole. If you do it over a bowl you can save the yolks for cooking/baking. After you blow the yolk out, rinse the inside of the egg by holding it under the tap, then blow the water out.
