We now have J.'s birthday 6 weeks after Christmas, and then E.'s birthday 7 weeks after that. Of course, he's already started his birthday wish list, so we're barreling ahead.

I had a harder time letting go of this holiday season too. I think it was a combination of spending part of the time off ill and then the looming of J.'s first day of daycare--so a bigger transition than usual.

So many friends I've spoken with report the same difficulty this year with letting go of the holidays....maybe there's something in the air?

I heard on the radio that January 5th is "officially" the lowest day of the year for people. So after tomorrow, I'm sure it's all uphill?! Everything's been strange for us this year, with all of the changes and still in the process of trying to sell our home...so my emotions are in a constant state of I-don't-know-what!

Well, it helps to know that others are experiencing the January 5th rut! I hope it IS all uphill from here!

I know that let down also. Thanks for this.
